How can someone describe Love? It's an emotion that sends your mind and body to a point of absolute insanity, but how can you know when it is real? So many industries benefit off of the illusion and various interpretations of love that it sends the consumer a mixed message of what Love truly is.
If you Google Love, (since now a days we Google everything), you will get Love Quotes and Making Love as related searches and the rest of the page just blathers on about Love calculators, love poems, Wikipedia's definition of love, and many other results that are just a headache. Everyone has a different idea and opinion of Love.
A few nights ago, I was having a conversation with one of my closest friends and we were talking about this very subject. How do we know when we have found "the one"? Every romantic relationship has its own set of problems and strengths and lets face it, that ideal perfect person is just a fantasy in our head that is most likely never going to come true. Some relationships have the romance that the other person yearns for and others are honestly just about sex. Every relationship is unique and if we are lucky we learn something from it at the end. One thing about relationships that has changed is that the romancing, "wining and dining", and courting process is practically non-existent.
When you look at movies or read romance novels the part that always makes us girls go "awe" is the romance. The notes and small tokens of appreciation and even calls because he missed you are all things that can only be found in stories. Why have guys stopped doting upon the girl? Just because the preferences of what girls like are different doesn't mean that they all want to jump from flirting straight into relationships. Whether it is spoken aloud or not, all girls want to be shown that they are appreciated and thought about.
In most relationships that I have seen throughout most of high school and college is that people can tell someone that they love them without even knowing if they do or not. People have become "I Love You" sluts and have said it to multiple men and women throughout their lives. Love is misinterpreted when someone grows infatuated with someone and the relationship has the strong potential of growing sour quick. The way love has been portrayed by someone time in movies, books, and TV shows has helped people get lost in its translation.
So when thinking about Love, be careful. Love may always be patient and kind but it can also be false. Keep your head on your shoulders and take things slowly. There is no rush, no matter what age you are.

Introductions
When I was younger, I would always love to pretend that I had various occupations both legal and not. I would hide away in my closet with my Vtech beginner laptop and pretend that I was the best hacker in the world hiding from the police that were outside asking for me. I would also pretend that I was a famous chef in my kitchen and I would add spices and different ingredients to average foods that honestly did not taste very good. With my imagination anything that I wanted to be or do was within my grasp.
Now that I am in college and halfway done with my Bachelors degree I realize that if I hadn't pretended to be all of these different occupations and tried out all sorts of hobbies that I would not have been as open minded and certain of a person as I am now. In my few decades of existence I have seen the ugly side of people and also the beautiful. The experiences and choices I have made have helped me become myself and I owe everything to the people that have contributed to it and after all this time of thinking I have realized that everyone has a story. Whether it is joyful or filled with hate and suffering, everyones story is their own.
My goal for this blog is to sample a little bit of everything. I want to bring the sides of people's lives that is rarely talked about and hidden away to life and i want to show people that you should not be ashamed of your mistakes and differences. There is a quote that I found in High school that still rings truth now:
"When we lose the right to be different, we lose the privilege to be free"
-Charles Evans Hughes
Being different is being free.
I will post photos and stories as I find them and I hope that it helps someone someday. Until the next post I say goodbye.
